ABOUT ME
I’m Anný, a multidisciplinary artist from Iceland. My work blends vivid colors, flowing forms, and tactile textures to explore emotional awakening and the human experience. Ranging from abstract realism to modern abstract, my paintings—often landscapes and portraits—are created to inspire, spark reflection, or simply bring beauty into your space.
I’m Anný, a multidisciplinary artist from Iceland, drawn to creation in all its forms—painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and writing. Art has always been my way of making sense of the world and my place within it.
Like many, I once pursued a “grown-up” ideal of what life should be, choosing a path that felt rational rather than authentic. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Reykjavík, yet found myself more uncertain than ever. Seeking clarity, I followed an impulse sparked by a chance encounter with an Australian traveler whose carefree spirit inspired me. That decision led me to Australia, and later on to adventures across the globe.
Traveling, meeting diverse people, and immersing myself in different cultures gave me the freedom to challenge false ideals and embrace a life led by creativity. My work is rooted in emotional awakening and shared human experience, often expressed through vivid colors, flowing forms, and tactile 3D textures that invite interaction.
My style ranges from abstract realism to modern abstract, with a focus on landscapes and portraits. Through my art, I aim to inspire, provoke thought, or simply bring beauty into the spaces people inhabit.
